Two assaults in ten days. In May and June, the Saint-Joseph district of Pau (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) was the scene of rape and attempted rape. A 25-year-old man suspected of being the perpetrator of these two attacks was arrested, reports France Bleu.

According to the radio, the suspect had accidentally entered two houses whose doors were not locked. In the first, he jumped on a woman who woke up when she heard noise before being touched. The victim struggled and the man was fled. Ten days later, the suspect did it again. Only the attempted rape was retained for this second assault.

Originally from South America, the 25-year-old man was arrested after trying to enter a third apartment. He was placed in police custody and imprisoned Thursday evening. His DNA was found at the two locations. He only explains that he was wandering, intoxicated.
