Affected by strong rainfall, the main stream in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the incoming water in the Three Gorges area increased significantly, and the inflow of the Three Gorges Reservoir rose rapidly, rising to 50000 cubic meters per second at 10:00 on July 17. According to the “Regulations on Flood Numbering of Major Rivers in the Country”, the flood numbering standard was met, and “Flood No. 2 in the Yangtze River 2020” was formed in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. The maximum inflow of the Three Gorges Reservoir is expected to be around 55,000 cubic meters per second at 20 o'clock on the 17th.
