Alexandra de Taddeo, the companion of the Russian artist Piotr Pavlenski indicted in the Griveaux scandal, has filed a complaint against the boss of the Bestimage agency Michèle Marchand, AFP learned from her lawyer.
According to Me Noémie Saïdi-Cottier, Alexandra de Taddeo has decided to file a complaint against X and the queen of the celebrity press, nicknamed “Mimi”, for “violation of the secrecy of the investigation and the instruction, concealment of violation of the secrecy and breach of the secrecy of correspondence by a person holding public authority ”. She also seized the IGPN, the police, and the Defender of Rights.
An arrest in the presence of the press
The young woman, recipient of Benjamin Griveaux's sexual videos which were then broadcast by Piotr Pavlenski and who was also indicted in this case, "intends (…) to obtain explanations on the conditions of the arrest" from her partner, "to whom the police would have simply invited the press," she said. "She wonders about the role played by Mimi Marchand in this trap, which directly caused her harm by staging it in one of some newspapers," she continues.
The Paris Prosecutor's Office opened an investigation at the end of February into the presence of a photographer during the arrest of Piotr Pavlenski on February 15 and the dissemination of the photos in Paris Match , for "violation of professional secrecy", "concealment of violation of the professional secrecy ”and“ unauthorized dissemination of images of a hindered person ”. The investigations were entrusted to the IGPN.
Unveiled exchanges
This inquiry came after the withdrawal of Benjamin Griveaux from the election at the Paris City Hall because of the dissemination of these videos. Furthermore, according to the lawyer, "the services did not hesitate to transmit to the press, which published them, messages exchanged between Ms. de Taddeo and her then lawyer", Marie-Alix Canu-Bernard. "These messages concerned the current procedure and were covered by the secrecy of correspondence between a lawyer and his client," she said.
"I am scandalized to note that today our exchanges with our customers, covered by professional secrecy, are knowingly read by the police officers, preserved, disclosed and then published by the press," commented Me Saïdi-Cottier. "It is an extremely serious infringement of the rights of the defense".
