China News Network Kunming, July 13 (Zhu Yulong) A reporter learned from the Yunnan Diqing Fire Rescue Detachment on the 13th that at 19:48 on the evening of the 12th, five tourists were trapped in the Tiger Leaping Gorge Scenic Area due to a sudden rainstorm. After receiving the alarm, the firefighters immediately dispatched 2 vehicles and 8 persons for disposal. After 3 hours of search and rescue, 5 trapped persons were successfully transferred to a safe area.

Tiger Leaping Gorge is famous for its "danger" and is one of the deepest canyons in China. The vertical height difference of the canyon reaches more than 3,900 meters. When the rescuers arrived at the scene, they found that due to the steep mountain roads in the Tiger Leaping Gorge Scenic Area, most of them were cliff bluestones, and the rain was heavy, which made the rescue more difficult.

Firefighters use anchors to fix the rope connection to search and find trapped tourists. Upon inquiry, the 5 tourists were 1 male, 2 female, 3 adults and 2 children. After playing the Tiger Leaping Gorge Scenic Area, they continued to follow the hiking route to the Brave Ladder Scenic Spot. They did not expect a sudden rainstorm, the mountain road was slippery, and the sky was too late. They were unable to return home on their own, and had to call the police for help.

The firefighters first carried the two children to the bed and breakfast on the way to rest, and then used the rope as a traction to escort the adults to a safe place. At 22:16 that night, all 5 trapped people were rescued.

Fire department reminded: When going out on holidays, you must arrange the time reasonably, arrange the trip scientifically, and pay attention to the weather changes. (Finish)
