Warn before the peak so as not to overload hospitals. South African President Cyril Ramaphosa decided on Sunday to reimpose a curfew and again suspend the sale of alcohol in the face of an increase in cases of coronavirus in his country.

"As we head towards the peak of infections, it is vital that we do not overload our clinics and hospitals with preventable alcohol-related injuries," said the president in a television address.
