On the evening of July 13, the first channel will host the premiere of the 16-episode film "St. Andrew's Flag." According to the plot of the tape, more than one generation of men of the Chernobaevsky family devoted life to the fleet. Grigory Sergeevich (Anatoly Vasiliev) resigns as deputy admiral in the Baltic Fleet, and his son continues - the commander of the nuclear submarine, captain of the second rank Sergey (Dmitry Miller). The grandson of Valeru (Semyon Shemes), who is still in school, has corresponding hopes.

Sergei serves in the Northern Fleet, but after he saved the teachings and saved teachings (which earned him both gratitude and foreclosure), he was transferred to Kaliningrad as the commander of a diesel submarine. So the family is reunited.

Service affairs in the Chernobaevsky family are closely intertwined with personal relationships. Thus, for the sake of career advancement, Frolov (the hero bears the name and surname of the performer of the role of Andrei Frolov) does not disdain relations with the sister of the brigade commander and the daughter of vice admiral at the same time. In such a simple way, he wants to get the place of the commander.

And this is not all the problems: the grandson of Chernobaevsky Valera is considering aborting the military dynasty, becoming a programmer and getting rich. However, a disregard for life threatens him with a less brilliant military career in military service.

The central theme of the St. Andrew's flag was the choice between one’s own ideas about life and family traditions, personal gain and honor, duty of service and human participation.

The heroes of the tape give their own answers to eternal philosophical questions. “Take it for granted and take a hit,” a retired wise admiral offers his formula for overcoming life's failures.

There are tense moments in the St. Andrew's flag. The criminal line adds sharpness to the plot: right in the area of the Navy’s exercises, a gang of smugglers, who intend to ship weapons to foreign accomplices by sea, is operating. Foreign games with the law turn into mortal danger for sailors.

Filming of the serial film took place in Kaliningrad and two other cities of the region - the resort of Svetlogorsk and military Baltiysk. Through seascapes, filmmakers conveyed the flavor of the Baltic, and the summer sunny weather gave it a special charm.

The St. Andrew's flag was produced in close collaboration with the Ministry of Defense. The Russian Navy provided the crew with submarines and ships.

In the tape, you can see footage from real exercises, and the cast of the project was supplemented by sailors. Director Vitaly Vorobyov noted that the performer of the role of Sergei Chernobaevsky Dmitry Miller got so accustomed to the image that even the military believed him. In the course of work on the image of his hero, Miller met with submariners and studied military literature. In addition, he was helped by personal experience in the army.

“According to the plot, the series is a saga about the admiral's family in which I play the admiral’s son. To better understand my character, I met with submarine officers, this is a certain caste of the Navy, ”said Miller.

To prevent flaws, the film crew worked closely with the military in various aspects of film production.

“We had consultants both during the writing of the script and during the filming. I turned directly to the submarine commanders, and with them we corrected the scenes right on the spot so that everything corresponded to reality and there were no mistakes, ”Vorobyov admitted.

The scriptwriters (Alexander Drugov, Ivan Dark, as well as Igor Grushko, Konstantin Charmadov and Vladimir Shevelkov) worked well both the statutory and non-statutory relationships of the characters, and the dialogues that accurately reflect the realities of the life of naval officers.

The weakness of the tape can be considered computer graphics, but the cast has become strong. The image of Anatoly Vasiliev echoes his role in Alexander Mitta’s famous film The Crew. Dmitry Miller made a new role for himself as a military man and successfully completed his creative task. In general, the team managed to maintain a balance of famous and fresh faces on the screen.
