On July 11, a wild forest fire broke out near Wulie Town, Changjiang, Hainan. After the local multi-sectoral departments organized their efforts to put out the fire, the fire has been extinguished and no casualties have been caused. According to reports, the area covered by the fire was 120 acres, of which 92 acres of weeds and trees were harvested, 28 acres of forest, and the main tree species was eucalyptus. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Since last year, the local area has encountered rare drought conditions in winter, spring, and summer, and has recently witnessed widespread high-temperature weather.
