Hydroalcoholic gel is now an essential accessory ... - SYSPEO / SIPA

Good news. The price controls for hydroalcoholic gels and solutions as well as single-use masks, which were initially due to expire on Friday evening with the end of the state of health emergency, are finally extended until January 10, 2021, according to a published decree this Saturday in the Official Journal (OJ).

A first decree, adopted on May 2, set the maximum price for non-reusable surgical masks at 95 cents per unit for those sold at retail and at 80 cents if sold wholesale, regardless of origin and channel. sale.

2.64 euros for a 100 ml bottle of hydroalcoholic gel

Initially valid until May 23, this provision was extended on May 22 until July 10. At the same time, another decree which came into force at the beginning of March regulated the price of gels and hydroalcoholic solutions intended for personal hygiene, initially until May 31 before being, again, extended until July 10.

The new decree published on Saturday further extends this framework until the beginning of 2021, retaining the same ceiling: 2.64 euros for a 100 ml bottle and 1.76 euros for a 50 ml bottle, those for 300 ml remaining on their side at 4.40 euros. Surgical masks also remain at the maximum price set by the previous decree
