[Explanation] In the past few days, Poyang County, located in the northeast of Jiangxi Province and on the east bank of Poyang Lake, was hit by continuous heavy rains. As a result, the water level of the Changjiang River Basin in the Poyang Lake Water System rose rapidly, causing Poyang County to Guigui Daowei Embankment on July 8. During the day and night, there was a violent decision.

　　On July 10, a reporter from China News Service drove along the 276 rural road on the side of the Changjiang River to the scene of the break. The bottom of the houses on both sides of the road were mostly immersed in the flood. Some low-rise bungalows only had roofs above the water. At the traffic control point, trucks rushing to transport the block stones shuttle between narrow sections, avoid each other, and pass in an orderly manner.

　　When the reporter arrived at the breach to block the scene, the rescue personnel were driving various engineering vehicles to start the containment operation, and the roar of the vehicles on the scene and the sound of gravel rolling constantly.

　　Li Shengxiang, a construction worker who is directing operations on the spot, told reporters that they arrived at the site at more than two in the morning on the 9th, and then began 24 hours of emergency rescue operations.

　　[Explanation] The turbid and turbulent Changjiang water is continuously passing through the breach, 6 villages behind the dike and more than 15,000 acres of arable land were flooded, and nearly 10,000 people were urgently transferred. 　　[Commentary] Deng Tianfu, 67, is a villager in Dengjia Village where the danger occurred. His four-storey new house is only a few hundred meters away from the breach, and the basement of his home has been submerged by the flood for more than half. But he experienced frankly many times that the flood was more serious than before, but he revealed a calmness in his words.

　　The water level is 20 cm higher than when the water was released in 1998. I have an old house there. This time is a little longer. In 1998, the water level retreated in the afternoon. I have seen more, and my daughter-in-law and grandchildren are afraid, saying grandpa is going away? This building is going to be washed away. I am not afraid.

　　[Commentary] The night was getting darker and the roaring sound kept on. As of 8:00 pm on the 10th, a total of 2,200 cubic meters of earth and stone were filled at the plugging site, and the plugging operation is still in progress.
