They are officially three to want to dethrone Delphine Ernotte. After the SNJ representative at France Télévisions, Serge Cimino, and Pierre-Etienne Pommier, digital advisor to the LREM group at the National Assembly, another challenger sells to take the helm of France Télévisions. Journalist Michel Goldstein announced on Saturday that he had applied, bringing the number of applicants officially declared to the current president and candidate for a new term to three.

“I submitted my strategic project yesterday to the CSA. A project that will be accompanied by the publication of a book, A screen in advance, by Uppr Editions, ”he said in a brief press release.

Four candidates, and that's it?

A former professional footballer, aged 59, Michel Goldstein is notably a columnist and commentator at the sports department of France Télévisions. He had already applied in 2018 for the presidency of France Médias Monde, a company that brings together France 24 and Radio France International, after the invalidation of the new mandate of Marie-Christine Saragosse following an administrative misunderstanding.

Several media say that the former boss of RTL (group M6) Christopher Baldelli will also be a candidate, but the interested party has not made any official communication on the subject.

The candidates had until Friday to send their candidacy to the Superior council of audio-visual (CSA), which will make public Wednesday the list of the candidates retained to be auditioned from July 20. The CSA will appoint the new president by July 24 at the latest.
