  The Guanyinyan Hydropower Station is located at the junction of Huaping County, Yunnan Province and Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province, with Ludila Hydropower Station upstream and 27 kilometers downstream from Panzhihua City. For the dam construction, two 30-ton radial cable cranes are arranged. The height of the cable crane tower is 106.6 meters, the span is 1365 meters, and the single main cable weighs about 103 tons. The arrangement is fixed on the right bank and mobile on the left bank.

  "This cable crane equipment has two important characteristics. One is that the span design reaches 1400 meters and the load is 30 tons, which is rare in the world. The other is that the fixed tower is up to 106.6 meters, which is also the highest cable crane in China." Wuhan University professor Xia Dayong told reporters that this world-class large-scale cable crane equipment has played an important role in the construction of the dam. After 5 years of operation, it has completed its historical mission. The cable mechanism parts and electrical parts have been idle for a long time. There are doubts about the safety status. If it is not removed as soon as possible, it will cause major safety hazards to the operation of the dam and power station. At the same time, its demolition difficulty is also world-class.

  According to Li Yi, the project manager of China Nengge Gezhouba Group Electromechanical Construction Co., Ltd., as early as 2014, this set of cable machine equipment has completed its mission. In 2015, the cable machine demolition project began, from on-site inspection, program preparation and review, and expert demonstration It took almost 5 years to dismantle this cable machine only for safety. The construction environment of Guanyinyan cable crane dismantling is complex, mainly reflected in the release of the tower dumping main cable. The horizontal distance of the main cable release from the power outlet is only 10 meters. During the dumping of the tower, there are upstream biased forces, ropes and guides. Anchor forces are complex and diverse, and are greatly affected by local weather conditions, road conditions, and dam equipment operation and maintenance.
