It was around 10:30 am this Friday when a group of fifteen individuals tried to break open the doors of the regional council of Brittany, meeting for two days in assembly in Rennes. Alerted by shouts, elected officials rushed to the doors and barred the activists. “There was a moment of panic. Some believed that there was an attack, ”said a witness to the scene.

Anti GMO activists tried to enter the hemicycle while examining the text on biodiversity. They wanted to speak about the Breton agricultural model. They were turned back by several regional elected officials, but the situation worsened. "Several elected officials were insulted, some were jostled."
