- The old ironworks is certainly an environmental disaster in many ways and so we go here today and feel the slag stone and think it is beautiful. But those who worked here probably didn't think so, says Torbjörn Grass.
Artist Ylva Ceder has created a work that depicts night butterflies swarming around a lit lamp. She got the idea for the painting when she came home one summer evening. The window was open and a lamp was burning. Underneath was a pile of dead butterflies.
- There is not much needed to affect nature. The Avesta work I associate so much with the history of industrialism. When that story began, so did the natural destruction.
