The Affaire concluded program is a real success on France 2 every afternoon. The chain therefore decided to imagine a prime time version, broadcast this Tuesday evening, devoted to flea markets. Sophie Davant mentioned the concept of the program in Culture-Media on Europe 1.

INTERVIEW

Maybe you will take the RN23 this summer this summer. If this is the case, do not hesitate to hunt around on the side, along this road between Chartres and Nantes which, it seems, is that of flea markets. This is the route chosen by the Affaire show concluded, in prime time this Tuesday evening on France 2, for an unreleased number entitled The duel of flea markets on the road.

In this special episode, two teams will once again be in charge of looking for the best deals in Le Perche and the Val-de-Loire, with Sophie Davant at the presentation, essential face of the show and guest of Pascale Clark in Culture-Media on Europe 1.

A first outside the studios

"We shot the show three weeks ago, just after the deconfinement," says the presenter, happy to launch this original program which comes out for the first time from the studios of France 2. "The flea markets in the open air have unfortunately, not taking place at the moment. So we took this well-known route, looking for new second-hand dealers and antique dealers. " The goal is for the participants of the two teams that will compete to find the best deals so that they are then estimated and bought at the best price.

An outdoor first for Affaire concluded and Sophie Davant, who had been promoting the idea for some time. "I was delighted to leave the studios, because it was my wish from the start. I wanted us to go for a walk in France to meet geographical treasures and regional objects. We also wanted to come and meet viewers, since they usually make the process of coming to see us in our studios and I find it nice to do it in our turn, "she rejoices before announcing that a second number will be recorded" on the occasion of Heritage Days".

"Good humor, my trademark"

If France 2 has the luxury of broadcasting two flea markets on its evening program, it is because Affaire concluded is a real success every day of the week at 4:15 pm since 2017. At the time, nobody would have frankly imagined, except perhaps Sophie Davant who remembers having "known quickly enough" that the program would be a success. The recipe for success is simple for the 57-year-old presenter: "We learn things about objects and their history but also thanks to the suspense linked to auctions".

What she does not point out is that this success is not trivial without her contribution. A place which was however intended for Stéphane Bern at the start and which she initially welcomed with questioning. "I did not really understand why I was asked to present it. I was primarily interested in human beings more than objects," recalls the former host of All a story who does not regret what choice. "There is a good mood without taking the lead, it is my trademark since always. The producer had said to me: 'Make a program in your image'." Thomas Burnichon had a thin nose.
