Today (7th), a CCTV reporter from the Hunan Provincial Highway Affairs Center learned that at 17:10, July 6th, due to continuous heavy rainfall, a large landslide occurred in the disaster area of Leijia Mountain, Nanbei Town, Shimen County, Changde City, Hunan Province, which caused About 300 meters of the Provincial Highway S522 line in this section collapsed, and the initial estimated collapse was 2 million cubic meters (the actual volume should be subject to the professional survey of the geological department). At the time of the collapse, there were 4 private houses, 1 forklift, 1 excavator, and 1 mining vehicle submerged along with the landslide, causing no casualties. No traffic can be restored on this section of the road in a short time.
