Despite the cancellation of the Avignon Festival, we are devoting a week to the great voices of Avignon and the initiatives that are taking place there anyway! To begin, make way for the remarkable voice of Jean Vilar (1912-1971) ...

Publicity

Founder of the Avignon Festival in 1947, he is also director of the National Popular Theater , actor, playwright, theater director. He returns to the creation of the Festival and its history, answering questions from Agnès Varda who was, in the 1950s, the "official" photographer of the Festival. To evoke the beginnings of the festival, we will also hear the voices of Gérard Philippe and Jeanne Moreau.

But also  :
- An interviewwith its current director Olivier Py , who offers a digital version of the Festival “  Un rêve d'Avignon  ” on the Festival dates, and announces the organization of the Art Week in October.
- The column " Mots à mots " , with Jean Pruvost , to explore the words of the moment by focusing on "theater" and "stage".
