Do you want to play pétanque everywhere and all the time? Guillaume Lieutier, associate director of the company "Boule l'énergie", was the guest of Europe 1 to present an original project: pétanque courts in kit form, mountable everywhere. But at a certain cost.

Do you have the irresistible urge to play pétanque but you lack the equipment? You may be interested in the project of Guillaume Lieutier, associate director of the event company "Boule l'énergie". This Nice-based entrepreneur offers a solution for setting up an ephemeral pétanque court. The objective: "to be able to play pétanque everywhere, all the time and in all weathers", explains the creator of this concept at the microphone of Europe 1.

The idea seems simple: a petanque field in kit, mountable, in the places of your choice. Flexible balls, synthetic coating, quick assembly, Guillaume Lieutier details his concept at the microphone of Europe 1: "We invented a field that can be assembled in around thirty minutes. It is a 7m20 field with a synthetic coating, a stock of balls And you can play from a distance of eight or nine meters. The goal is not to lose the spirit of the game. "

Land, cost

This little pleasure has a cost, however. And the price will vary according to needs: on the occasion of large public events, it is for example possible to rent two plots for half a day, for 1,200 euros. At this price, you can also benefit from a scenography as well as the services of animators. If you are an individual and you wish to adorn your garden with a pétanque court, you can buy one, called "the half", which can be assembled yourself, for the sum of 790 euros. Finally, it is even possible to rent them, for a wedding for example, for 300 euros.

Pétanque and aperitif

To get a taste of it, go to Rosalina Bar, an atypical bar located in Nice, designed and managed by the company "Boule l'énergie": ephemeral grounds have been set up inside as well as on the terrace , an opportunity for customers to alternate game of bowls and aperitif. For Guillaume Lieutier, the objective was to create "a friendly and pleasant place". "Originally, this bar was intended for customers in their forties, but ultimately we welcome all customers. So it's a real Sunday lunch with the family," he explains.

Present mainly on the Côte d'Azur, Guillaume Lieutier wants to go much further. Installed for a year in Los Angeles thanks to an American franchise, the company "Boule l'énergie" is trying to further develop its project abroad. "On the same day, we installed a pétanque court in the Mojave Desert, then on Route 66 and finally behind the Hollywood sign!", He rejoices. It remains to be seen whether this project will convince purists or Sunday players used to sharing the land, free of charge, which has drawn and pointed entire generations in all the municipalities of France.
