Anatoly Tsygankov, deputy head of the Roshydromet situational center, explained to RT that the weather in Moscow is hot through Astrakhan and Volgograd.
“This year it turned out that the tropics are very hot ... If you look at yesterday’s temperatures, in the Astrakhan region it was almost +39 ° C, in Volgograd it was +37 ... + 38 ° C, in Moscow it wasn’t so hot, but the heat was still comes close equally. We are saved by the proximity to the Arctic, we have (near. - RT ) the Barents Sea, where temperatures are lower now, for example, in Murmansk it is +18 ° C, it is much colder there, ”the specialist explained.

Maybe the forecast will change, but overall it will be very warm, ”the weather forecaster concluded.
Earlier, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, chief specialist of the Moscow Weather Bureau, told RT about the weather that awaits Muscovites and residents of the Moscow Region at the beginning of the week.
“The atmospheric front that gave us heavy rains will shift east on Sunday and we will be in the warm sector of the Atlantic cyclone,” she explained.
According to weather forecaster, the air temperature will be quite high. In Moscow it is expected + 28 ... + 30 ° С, in the region - + 25 ... + 30 ° С. Monday and Tuesday are not likely to rain.

“That is, the weather is rather unstable, the air temperature is 4-5 ° C higher than the climatic norm and rain showers. In the climate language, the typical weather is the tropics, ”summed up Tatyana Pozdnyakova.
Regarding the forecast for the remaining two months of summer, the leading specialist of the Phobos center, Yevgeny Tishkovets, on the air of Moscow 24, said that July and August “do not cause alarm”. The temperature regime will be maintained within the framework of the climatic norm until the end of summer: up to +15 ° С at night and up to +25 ° С in the afternoon, Tishkovets noted. At the same time, the weather forecaster did not exclude “temperature holes” in the second half of summer.
Heat in the regions
According to information on the website of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, hot weather and temperatures above +40 ° C are expected in the coming days in various regions of the country.
So, on June 6, weather forecasters predict strong heat in the Volgograd region - the temperature can reach even +42 ° C. In Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia - up to +38 ° С.

Forecasters of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia note that the first month of the summer in Russia as a whole turned out to be very warm. Its average temperature closed the first three of the highest values in the entire history of meteorological observations since 1891. June was only warmer in 2012 and 2016. However, the temperature background of the month turned out to be uneven.
The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, Roman Vilfand, previously told RBC that the first half of 2020 was the warmest in the history of meteorological observations. From January to June, weather forecasters recorded different temperature records in many regions of the country.
“The first six months of 2020 were the warmest in the history of instrumental meteorological observations in Russia,” said the weather forecaster.
January 2020 was declared the warmest in Russia over the past 140 years. In April, in the European part of the country the average temperature exceeded the norm by five degrees. In May, Villefand said that the extremely warm weather in Western Siberia lasted at least 40 days, which became an “extreme event”.
