Forest people hold the ecological "golden rice bowl" (towards our well-off life)

The majestic Xing'an Mountains and the reckless forest are deep.

Walking in Asia's largest and most well-preserved natural Korean pine primitive forest community, Ma Lizhi in his early thirties takes a deep breath from time to time and enjoys the gifts of nature.

"Grandpa Ma Yongshun is the first generation of lumberjacks in New China. He once harvested 1,200 cubic meters of wood in a winter, which is the highest output of manual logging in the country. During his 17 years after retirement, grandfather and his family volunteered to plant more than 50,000 trees, and owed the chopped trees. 'Give back to the mountain.' Earlier, Ma Lizhi knew when he was young, "We are the beneficiaries of this forest, and guarding this forest will have a good life." Today, he is a job of the Yichun Forest and Grass Bureau personnel.

Ma Lizhi's hometown of Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, known as the "Motherland of the Motherland" and "Hometown of Red Pine", is a key state-owned forest area developed earlier in my country. In 2014, the commercial logging of natural forests was completely stopped in the Xiaoxinganling forest area, and Yichun embarked on the road of transformation.

In May 2016, General Secretary Xi Jinping came to Yichun when he visited Heilongjiang. The general secretary pointed out that in the past, forest farms provided timber for national construction as a contribution to the country, and now the forest area is completely shut down, protecting and constructing the ecological environment as well as contributing to the country. The significance of protecting the ecological environment is strategic. The economic transformation and development of forest areas is a difficult task.

Heilongjiang Province and Yichun City keep in mind the general secretary’s request to firmly implement the concept that green water and green mountains are Jinshan and Yinshan, and ice, snow and snow are also Jinshan and Yinshan. Rejuvenating youth.

In the lush green summer, the reporter walked into Yichun to see how the forest people who had been entangled in the "timber logging" ushered in another spring.

  Protect this forest

"Take action, hey! Planting trees and forests, hey! Greening the motherland, hey! Bless the children and grandchildren, oh hey!"

Ma Lizhi blurted out a period of "planting tree". "This is the slogan that Grandpa often shouted before he died. When he was young, he often took me up the mountain, let me compare with the young saplings on the mountain, to see who grows faster. Grandpa said, like me, Xiao Shu is his child. "

After walking 8 kilometers on a rugged mountain road, Ma Lizhi finally reached the operation site. After graduating from Northeast Forestry University, he returned to his hometown and inherited his grandfather’s legacy, engaged in seedling management and forest tending. He had to go to the mountains to conduct field surveys and formulate forest tending plans every early summer.

"This is Fraxinus mandshurica! That's yellow pineapple! These are precious tree species that need to be nurtured to grow." The seemingly indistinguishable tree species, Ma Lizhi can distinguish at a glance. The barren hills and ridges of my childhood gradually disappeared, and now the forest is getting denser and denser. "Grandpa planted the tree at that time, it was afforestation, now we plant the tree is "seam filling"-planted everywhere, it is difficult to find an open space!"

Planting trees is a matter of strength and skill. "These two Korean pine trees are too close together, it is easy to form a nutritional competition, you must reduce the density, cut off a tree, to ensure growth." Walking in the dense forest, Ma Lizhi read while reading, but also judge where to reduce density , Trim side branches, cut bushes. "There must be a variety of broad-leaved forests next to the Korean pine, and the formation of mixed needle-broad forests can maintain balance, which can reduce the incidence of forest fires."

From "cutting more trees" to "planting more trees" to "protecting the forest" is the portrayal of Yichun's forestry development. Since the founding of New China, Yichun has provided 270 million cubic meters of timber to the country, accounting for 1/5 of the state-owned forest areas of the country; in 2000, the national natural forest protection project was officially implemented, and the Yichun forest area was able to recuperate; in 2013, Yichun It was the first to stop commercial logging of natural forests in key state-owned forest areas across the country, and forest protection has become a top priority for forest people. Since the logging stopped, Yichun planted 200 million trees and afforested 1.8 million mu.

"The ecology is good, and precious tree species such as red pine and ash will be common now. Foreign students envy the ecological environment of our forest area. When they leave, they wish they could return some air in their bags." Breathing the clear air in the forest, Ma Lizhi is very proud.

  Eat ecological rice

Liu Yangshun was very busy as he greeted the tourists into the hospital while drawing food.

"For a lifetime of lumberjacking, who promised to retire and became a boss." Liu Yangshun is a retired worker from the forest farm of Xishui Management Office of Ganling Forestry Bureau in Yichun. In May 2016, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited his house during his inspection in Yichun.

"In a discussion with our family and neighbors, the general secretary said that the forest area's economic transformation and development will face some temporary difficulties. The party committee and the government will care about it, let everyone live better and better, and everyone must be self-reliant and find new ones. Doorway. After listening to the general secretary, the villagers were very excited." Liu Yangshun still remembered the scene at that time.

Shortly thereafter, with the support of the forest area policy, Liu Yangshun's farmhouse opened. Wok stews, pastries, etc.. The earthy specialty dishes make tourists from south to north enjoy. To catch up with the peak tourist season, the family of five is all too busy to go into battle, earning thousands of dollars a day.

"The ecological environment in the forest area is getting better and better, the mountain scenery outside the courtyard is getting more and more beautiful, and there are more and more tourists." Speaking of the changes in the past few years, Liu Yangshun was a little excited.

His wife Yang Qiue couldn't help but interject: "Now the family is getting thicker and thicker. The family not only eats well, dresses beautifully, but also thinks about being free to go abroad!"

Seeing that old Liu Jiafu got up, neighbor Gao Fengxiang also moved. In 2018, with the help of Liu Yangshun, she also opened a farmhouse, not only for farmhouse cooking, but also for new projects such as living in the Northeast Tu Kang and picking fruits and vegetables.

Over the past few years, the number of farmhouses at Xishui Forest Farm has grown to 16, and the "Street of Xishui Farmhouse" is well known. In addition to prosperous farmhouses, new tourism formats such as characteristic homestays, car camps, and wellness health are also emerging.

This is just a microcosm of Yichun's strategy of "building an ecological city and strengthening tourism". Successfully held the second Heilongjiang Provincial Tourism Industry Development Conference, called the "Lindu Yichun·Home in the Forest" brand, Yichun Forest Ecotourism entered the fast lane, and the number of tourists received and tourism revenue in 2019 increased by 12.5 year-on-year respectively %, 13.5%.

"Eating ecological rice and having a comfortable life!" Holding his two-year-old granddaughter, Gao Fengxiang couldn't help laughing.

  Find Xinmen Road

Yichun "eight mountains, half water, half grass, and one field", after the logging is stopped, what can such conditions do? Huo Chunlin, who lives by logging, was very confused.

Huo Chunlin, 57, is located in Manjianghong Village, Tieli Town, Tieli City, Yichun. After the forest area was completely shut down, Huo Chunlin learned to plant medicinal materials in his garden, but the scale and quality were poor, and he could not sell the price.

In 2014, under the guidance of the local party committee and government, Huo Chunlin and the villagers joined the Chinese herbal medicine plantation cooperative, enjoying policy dividends such as planting and insurance subsidies. "We only care about the species, the cooperatives find a good market, and they are also responsible for drying processing and cold storage."

When he saw Huo Chunlin, it was the sowing season of Pingbei, he was busy in the field of medicinal herbs. In recent years, with the hard work of the forest people, Huo Chunlin's family has gradually become rich. Last year, 100,000 jin pingbei was produced, including the dividend of the cooperative, and the income was more than 500,000 yuan.

Blueberry is made into jam, fungus is made into velvet drink, and Chinese medicinal materials are made into medicine... In Yichun, with the multi-point support and diversified development of the industrial pattern gradually formed, like Huo Chunlin, people in the forest area who find wealth on Xinmen Road are getting more and more many. Since last year, Yichun has accelerated the construction of industrial projects, and the conversion rate of in-situ processing of specialty products has reached 45%, solving the employment problem of more than 70,000 forestry surplus laborers.

"Look, it's my house with the lights on!" The reporter followed Huo Chunlin back home in a small car, looking at the new residential buildings. "In the past, my fathers lived in a cold and damp place. I lived in a narrow old bungalow when I was a kid. Now I live in a bright new building. When I go out, there is a neat asphalt road. My life is changing."

As night fell, Huo Chunlin and his wife came to Tieli Park for a walk. The lights swayed on the square, and the water light show was being staged. "Now the ecology is good, the medicinal materials produced by good mountains and good water are more precious, and the good days of our people in the forest area are yet to come!" Huo Chunlin looked happy.
