Five weeks before the presidential election in Belarus, the repression is accelerating against those critical of power and in particular against bloggers.

In power for 26 years, Alexander Lukashenko, weakened by the economic crisis and the epidemic of Covid-19, does not intend to hand over. It is however more and more contested. Among his most virulent critics: blogger Sergei Tikhanovski who wanted to run for president. Become very popular on social networks in recent months, he was arrested, imprisoned and charged with "  events violating public order  ", a case that observers consider fabricated.
