France has registered 18 new coronavirus-related deaths in 24 hours in hospitals, bringing the total number of deaths since the start of the epidemic to 29,893, the Directorate General of Health (DGS) announced on Friday. The balance sheet in nursing homes (currently arrested at 10,497 deaths, for 19,396 hospital deaths) will be updated on July 7.

At the same time, the number of patients with Covid-19 in intensive care continues to decrease with 560 patients concerned, 13 less than on Thursday. Four regions (Ile-de-France, Grand-Est, Hauts-de-France, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) still account for 74% of patients hospitalized in intensive care. A total of 7,990 people are hospitalized for this infection (125 new admissions, including 12 serious cases, but a balance of -158 in twenty-four hours).

The circulation of the virus in Guyana remains "worrying". Reinforcements in health personnel will be sent on site in the coming days "in order to relieve the caregivers and agents of the health reserve already deployed on the ground". But "on the rest of the national territory, the epidemiological situation is stable", indicates in its press release the DGS.
