The author of Diary of Doctor Cha's Aid to Hubei is Cha Qiongfang, a respiratory physician at Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine. From the perspective of first-line doctors, the book completely records the 68-day anti-epidemic experience of Shanghai’s first batch of support for the Wuhan medical team, and truly reproduces the selflessness, fearlessness, kindness and courage of the medical staff and the public during the crisis.

Zh Qiongfang, a respiratory physician at Shanghai Renji Hospital, said with great excitement: "When I wrote the first diary for aid to Hubei, I just wanted to tell everyone what I did and what I saw on the frontline of anti-epidemic disease. Rest assured. When 67 diaries are assembled into the "Diary of Dr. Cha's Aid to Hubei", I hope to tell you all: how the Chinese people face up to the epidemic and how to basically control the epidemic within three months ."

The details in the book outline the "road map" for the Chinese war epidemic, reveal the "password" for China's rapid control of the epidemic, and reflect the great spirit of the Chinese people united in fighting the epidemic. "Diary of Doctor Cha's Assistance to Hubei" was rated as "A Good Book of China in April 2020".

According to Li Dan, assistant president of Shanghai Jiaotong University Press, after the Chinese version of the book was first published on April 20, many well-known international publishing organizations came to discuss cooperation matters. Shanghai Jiaotong University Press finally chose Naturalogic Press, a leading Canadian academic publisher in the fields of technology and medicine.

Peter Gaviorno, president of Naturalogic Publishing House, pointed out: "Diary of Doctor Cha's Aid to Hubei tells us that all mankind must unite to fight COVID-19 in order to fight the spread of the virus. We should learn cooperation and courage from the Chinese And enthusiasm for the global fight against this epidemic."

According to reports, Professor Ye Xingguo, a well-known translator and chairman of the Shanghai Overseas Literature Association, completed the English translation. Ye Xingguo said: "The story of China's anti-epidemic is very touching. We translate the story of China's anti-epidemic to the world. We foreign language workers are obliged. It is hoped that the story of China's anti-epidemic will spread widely in the world and finally control the new crown virus for humans. Pneumonia makes its due contribution."
