So, the vote on the Constitution is completed.

The results are so expected that I would be very surprised if I see a person seriously expecting another. Therefore, I do not understand neither wild joy nor wild mourning.

From the amusing - I hope, the single and uncontested opposition leader will be awarded the medal "For Merit to the Fatherland" (secret, of course), because he made a record amount of effort to convince the opponents of the amendments not to go to the polling stations so that the victory of the “for” vote was as good as possible more unconditional. Well, okay, we're talking about something else.

Once again: the outcome was so predictable that it was even strange to see the overjoyed winners - it was about how strange it was to see the jubilant FC Sochi in the victory over Rostov. More precisely, even this: to rejoice in their victories is always possible and necessary. But to humiliate those who voted differently is impossible, because many voted for a completely different motivation than social networks seem to be.

Well, the mourning of the losers is also embarrassing to observe.

15-30% is a large parliamentary party. This is not 3%.

Another thing is that people voted - what is “for”, what is “against” - in fact, for very different reasons. At parent forums, spears around the amendment about children were broken, and teachers after three months of “removal” tried to understand what would happen to education and whether their amendments would forever be linked to online broadcasts for a class of 30 people. During the pandemic, of course, many formulated their attitude by reading the amendments about medicine. Residents of small towns tried to figure out new relations between municipal and regional authorities. Residents of Russia are generally much more diverse than a sample of the leaders of public opinion in social networks.

And here we come to the most important. One of the saddest events that accompanied the vote was the actual mutual segregation of the pros and cons. Both sides called each other exactly the same words: “traitors”, “collaborators” (some with the “regime”, others with the West), “enemies”. People forgot that any vote ends and that the very next day everyone will need to continue to live together in one country.

And if you don’t think now, don’t stop excitedly worrying - to whom - victory, to whom - defeat, then some eventually come up with a hunt for "enemies of the people", others - until the creation of revolutionary cells that are not invented, but real.

Another bad marker is that the discussion is already in a gop-stop tone: “Voted for / against? And if I find a newsletter? Come here, scum, you’ll answer for a tick now. ” In general, when adults, who seem to be fluent in Russian, switch to the Gopnik language from the gateway, this only discredits their position, and not the position of the opponent. Because you hear such a label and think: “But am I on this side? Oh, the other is the same. "

The recipe is simple. It is not necessary to demand to stand in a single line on one of the sides of the barricades, because one very unpleasant phenomenon begins with walking in a single line.

The country is different, people are different. They did not bite into quarantine, and now it is not necessary.

In practice, this recipe is applicable as follows.

I am completely calm with both those who voted for and those who voted against. And, by the way, I know a lot of motivation options, why “for” and why “against”, which are not related to the “regime” at all.

For me, any vote is not a reason to quarrel with people en masse, not a reason for the consequences for people. Because in a variety of cases - from everyday to human rights stories - you always need as many allies as possible.

So, try to conduct a training with you. Find in your environment people who voted differently than you. If you voted in favor, look for those who are against. If you voted against - look for those who are for. No need to write to each other and argue. Try yourself, internally, to accept someone else's choice. Tell the voter otherwise simply good words are off-topic. Do this particular person a good deed.

Because the real opponents of a healthy person with any position are those who equate the difference in views with betrayal and who are trying to split society into “friends” and “enemies”.

Voting will pass, but society will remain. We are still here to all live with each other. And we all have a car to do.
