Infection confirmed in 2 elementary school teachers in Koto-ku, Tokyo. Total of 4 students in the school New Corona 11:38 on July 1st

It was confirmed that two teachers working at a municipal elementary school in Koto Ward, Tokyo were infected with the new coronavirus, and the number of teachers who were infected at this elementary school became four.

The two newly infected persons were asymptomatic, and the ward advanced the examination of the children who were in close contact and extended the period of temporary school closure.

According to Koto Ward, new infections were confirmed among male teachers in their 30s and female teachers in their 40s who work at the same municipal elementary school.

Both had no symptoms such as fever, but the infection was confirmed on two female teachers on the 26th of last month, so a PCR test revealed that it was positive on the 30th.

Last month, 12 female teachers, including two female teachers who were found to have been infected, were found to be negative contacts, including children and faculty members.

Ward inspected several children who were in close contact with two newly confirmed infections, and extended the period of temporary closure from 6th of this month to 10th.

In Tokyo, infections of school personnel have occurred one after another, and in late last month, male teachers in their 30s at a municipal elementary school in Ota Ward and three faculty members of two special needs schools were confirmed.
