The Tokyo Metropolitan Government held a meeting of the New Coronavirus Countermeasures Headquarters and summarized the new monitoring items that were being reviewed. We will have an expert analyze the infection situation and medical system, and the city will evaluate it and decide whether to call attention, so it will be operated on a trial basis from July 1.

Governor Koike and executives attended a meeting of the new coronavirus countermeasures headquarters at 7:30 pm on the 30th in Tokyo.

Among these, we have compiled new monitoring items that have been reviewed in preparation for the second wave of infection spread.

There are a total of seven items that indicate the infection status and medical system. Specifically, the number of new infected persons, the number of people who do not know the infection route, the increase rate, the number of hospitalized patients, etc.

On a weekly basis, Tokyo will ask doctors and infectious disease specialists to analyze the values of these seven items by comparing them with the maximum values during the previous week and during the period when the emergency declaration was issued.

Based on the results, a monitoring meeting will be held to evaluate the current situation, and if it is determined that the situation has deteriorated, it will call attention to the residents of the city, such as cooperation for refraining from going out when it is unnecessary or urgent.

On the other hand, the new monitoring items did not have a standard value for calling attention to the citizens of Tokyo.

Tokyo will be operating on a trial basis from July 1st and will be fully implemented early.
