Invited Tuesday in "It feels good", Stéphane Bern commented on his upcoming return to Europe 1, with a story show he will host at the start of the school year in duet with Matthieu Noël. "We will dive back into history, but in a delicious and playful way," he says.

INTERVIEW

He will be one of the headliners of Europe 1 next season. The presenter Stéphane Bern will return to school on the air to launch a new daily program around the story, which he will present in the company of Matthieu Noël, currently head of L'Équipée sauvage . A return to the roots for this emblematic personality of the PAF, who had worked for several years on Europe 1 in the 90s, and whom he commented on Wednesday at Anne Roumanoff's microphone in  Ça fait du bien.

Stéphane Bern first confides his pleasure to find Matthieu Noël, whom he knows well, and whose course he followed "with great admiration". He was the one who launched it on the radio fifteen years ago. "He wrote to me to write a column. Nobody knew him," recalls the host. "I gave him a chance. He took it, and it was great." And to conclude, evoking "a beautiful story of friendship": "I am very happy to find him."

"We are testing a lot of things"

The program will start on August 24. "We are testing a lot of things," says Stéphane Bern. "Everything has a story. We will take themes that we will present in the form of riddles," he continues. "We do not see the link necessarily between very diverse people, between a queen of Egypt quite pioneer and a heroine of reality TV. And it will be necessary to find this link".

The goal, he said again, "is that I make historical accounts and that Matthew challenges everything I do, makes fun of me!". And, he promises, "we're going to plunge back into history, but in a delicious and playful way".
