China News Service Client Beijing, June 30 (Reporter Song Yusheng) Recently, it was reported that "a red bean sold by the seller as Lu Xun to Xiao Hong" took a high price of more than 200,000 yuan, causing concern.

But is a red bean so valuable? Has Lu Xun ever sent red beans to Xiao Hong?

A red bean sold more than 200,000?

On June 27th, at the ninth phase of the Chongzheng Art Collection Art Auction in Guangdong, a collection of three pieces of Duanmu Hongliang's old collection was auctioned at an unreserved price of 1,000 yuan, and finally hammered at 210,000 yuan with a commission of 241,500 yuan.

Duan Muhongliang married Xiao Hong in 1938. In the auction's old collection, it contained the red bean that was considered "Lu Xun gave to Xiao Hong." The matter subsequently attracted attention and discussion on the Internet.

According to the auction house, a group of three old collections of Duanmu Hongliang, which were auctioned this time, included the Qing Dynasty roasted blue inlaid jade incense box (including sachets, red beans, etc.), old rice paper, and roasted blue inlaid jade jewelry box.

Therefore, strictly speaking, this auction is not a "red bean sold for more than 200,000 yuan" as everyone understands, red beans are only part of it.

Where do the red beans come from?

The relevant person in charge of Guangdong Chongzheng Auction Company revealed to reporters from China News that the red bean was actually "unintentionally discovered".

Duanmu Hongliang's old collection in this auction was provided by the descendants of Duanmu Hongliang. "She knows that there is this red bean at home, but she can't find it. This red bean was not accidentally discovered until the preview period." The person in charge said.

Two notes were found together with the red beans. One of the pieces of paper reads: "The red beans Mr. Lu Xun gave to Mr. Guangping, Duan Muzhi"; the other piece of paper reads: "This is the red beans Mr. Lu Xun gave to Xiao (Xiao) Red".

The relevant person in charge of the auction house confirmed to reporters that Guangdong Chongzheng contacted the entrusting party and confirmed that Duanmu's autograph was on the note, and that the red beans were Xiao Hong's relics that Duanmu personally kept. At the same time, the auction house also cited "Xiao Hong Research", "Xiao Hong Complete Works" and other documents to support this.

Different opinions about red beans

On the other hand, the reporter noticed that some media had previously interviewed Lu Xun, Sun Zhou Lingfei, and Xiao Hong Memorial Hall in Hulan District, Harbin, but did not get a definite answer.

Among them, Zhou Lingfei said, "When my grandmother Xu Guangping was alive, I never talked to my grandfather Lu Xun about sending red beans to Xiao Hong, and she did not record it in her diary. This thing may have been given to my grandparents, Or forwarded it, no one can say it right now. There is no way to judge whether the (note) is written by Duan Muhongliang."

The Xiao Hong Memorial Hall directly stated, "This is a fool's thing."

Although it is impossible to find a direct record of the matter, the reporter found that in the book "The Complete Works of Xiao Hong", there is indeed a picture marked "Lu Xun and Xu Guangping's Red Beans to Xiao Hong".

Articles published by the auction house show that "Zhong Yaoqun talks about Duanmu Hongliang's family affairs" has an article "Lu Xun's couple gave Xiao Hong's red beans". Zhong Yaoqun is Duanmu Hongliang's second wife. She pointed out in the article that red beans can be regarded as Lu Xun's love for a generation of young writers.

In this regard, the relevant person in charge of Guangdong Chongzheng Auction Company said, "From the existing literature, we believe that this red bean was given to Xiao Hong by Lu Xun and Xu Guangping. However, due to the long time, there are still some mysteries in the academic world that need to be solved. It is normal to cause discussion. We also welcome everyone to study together to solve the mystery."

The intersection of Lu Xun and Xiao Hong

Although there are different opinions about this red bean, Lu Xun and Xiao Hong did have an intersection.

In the 1930s, Xiao Hong and Xiao Jun left Harbin to reach Shanghai, and obtained correspondence with Lu Xun. In November 1934, Xiao Hong, Xiao Jun and Lu Xun met. After that, Xiao Hongbian and Lu Xun established a friendship between teachers and students.

Lu Xun's wife Xu Guangping said in "Recalling Xiao Hong" that Lu Xun "in addition to allocating a lot of time to communicate with Mr. Xiao Hong, etc., more ways to introduce them to publication." There is no doubt that Lu Xun had an important influence on Xiao Hong's writing during this period. During the period, Xiao Hong's masterpiece "Life and Death" was published, and Lu Xun personally wrote a preface for it.

By 1936, Xiao Hong and Xiao Jun's love broke apart, and Xiao Hong's old disease relapsed. She often went to Lu Xun's house. Xu Guangping also recorded that Xiao Hong at this time "can't get rid of her sadness, and every day is delayed in our apartment."

Ni Moyan, a research expert in Lu Xun, once pointed out in the article, "Lu Xun and female writers have the closest relationship, and Xiao Hong should be the first choice." But he does not think that Lu Xun and Xiao Hong "have an unusual relationship."

In addition, according to Chen Shuyu, a research expert in Lu Xun, Xu Guangping said in the article "Recalling Xiao Hong" that the reason why Lu Xun and Er Xiao are close is because they are "two slaves from the north who are not willing to be slaves", and Xiao Hong is lively and cheerful The innocent and innocent character, therefore "entertained them with the same sentiment that they received their brothers."

Chen Shuyu believes, "During the contact between Xiao Xiao and Lu Xun, Xiao Jun wrote many letters and Xiao Hong visited many people. Because Lu Xun was sick at the time, most of Xiao Hong came to be accompanied by Xu Guangping. In Xiao Hong's mind, Lu Xun was a beloved mentor, Kind elders, there is no room for people to guess."
