According to Deadline, spotted by TVMag , director Michael Winterbottom and Sunday Times journalist Tim Shapman, are preparing a series around Boris Johnson.

They are particularly interested in his management of the coronavirus crisis in Great Britain, strongly criticized across the Channel, but also in the private life of the Prime Minister, who himself contracted the virus.

Private and public life

"There are rare moments in history when the private lives of leaders are intimately linked to national events, where personal experience and official role collide in unusual ways," said Andrea Scrosati, operations manager at Freemantle, co-producer of the series. The final months of the Prime Minister's life clearly mark one of these moments. "

Beyond the health crisis (the UK has one of the highest coronavirus mortality rates in the world), the series will address the private life of Boris Johnson, his arrival at 10 Downing Street, his hospitalization or the birth of his son at the end of April. The series does not have a broadcaster at the moment, no release date has been communicated.
