Against this backdrop, 10 tour operators in Yamanashi and Shizuoka began crowdfunding to secure immediate funding for their guides.
This crowdfunding is named "Fujisan's "Saki Tabi" project", and each business operator will take part from April next year such as a tour around places related to Mt.Fuji worship and a kayak experience at Fuji Five Lakes. It is a system that allows businesses to secure funds, such as having users pay in advance for the tours they perform by the month and using them as income for guides.
Akiko Funatsu, one of the business operators who planned the project, said, “If this situation continues, there is a risk that some guides will go out of business, so I would like to ask for your continued support so that we can continue to enjoy Mt. Fuji.” ..
This project will be accepted until August 10th this year.
