The philosopher Michel Onfray expressed his misunderstanding on Europe 1 on Sunday about his departure from France Culture in 2018. According to him, it was caused by several people including "Emmanuel Macron, Sandrine Treiner, director of France Culture" or Joël Bruneau, mayor of Caen.

The philosopher Michel Onfray returned Sunday to Europe 1, in " There is not only one life in the life ", on his ousting of France Culture two years ago, which according to him, pushed him to create his new review  Front populaire . Before being a media personality, Michel Onfray was professor of philosophy in a technical high school in Caen for almost twenty years, from 1983 to 2002. He then launched the popular university of Caen, in 2002, where his lectures were recorded and broadcast live on France Culture.

Michel Onfray said that he was thanked without explanation in 2018. "The director of France Culture one day sent a message to Patrick Frémeaux, my sound editor, telling her that she was no longer broadcasting my lessons," he said. at the microphone of Isabelle Morizet.

Michel Onfray kicked out

A brutal announcement for Michel Onfray. "She didn't even say it to me. She didn't even have the courage to confront me opposite saying to me: 'We want to see you, talk to you. We send you an email'. just said, 'You're fired,' "he recalls. 

The philosopher believes that several people have ganged up on him, including "Emmanuel Macron, Sandrine Treiner, director of France Culture, Joël Bruneau, mayor of Caen, and I no longer know which professor at the University of Caen who had given advice to vote against me. "I'm not one to be silenced so easily" 

For Michel Onfray, the misunderstanding remains. The philosopher then went on to another project. "I said to myself: 'We're going to do something else and otherwise'," he said before adding: "I'm not one of those who is silenced so easily".
