It is the role of the girl Molly in the cartoon series Central Park on Apple TV + that Kristen Bell has made the voice for. Now the actress resigns from the job because she does not feel it is justifiable for a white person to portray a black. That's what NME writes.

"Playing Molly in Central Park shows a lack of awareness of my privilege," she writes on Twitter.

Bell further argues that the fact that she, as white, has been hired to portray a black character undermines black Americans' experiences.

"Continues to learn"

“I was wrong and we who work with Central Park should now do the right thing. I am happy to be able to forgo this role to give way to someone who can make a more accurate figure and I will continue to learn and grow and work for equality and inclusion, ”she tweeted.

Kristen Bell has previously made the voice for, among others, Anna in the Disney movie Frost.

In connection with Black Lives Matter protests in recent weeks, among other things, the TV series 30 Rock has removed a section with a blackface sketch from the streaming platforms and Gone with the Wind has been removed from HBO and then made available again on American HBO max, with information that the film shows a glorified and not truthful version of slavery.
