On June 26, a magnitude 6.4 earthquake occurred in Yutian County, Xinjiang. The epicenter was located in a mountainous area with a high altitude and sparse population. There have been no reports of casualties and property damage.

  According to the official survey by the Xinjiang Seismic Network, a magnitude 6.4 earthquake occurred in Yutian County, Hotan, Xinjiang, at 5:05 on the 26th. The epicenter was located at 35.73 degrees north latitude, 82.33 degrees east longitude, and the focal depth was 10 kilometers.

  After the earthquake, the emergency response team at the Hotan Seismic Station has rushed to the earthquake area. At the same time, the working group of the Xinjiang Earthquake Administration set off from Urumqi to the epicenter to carry out emergency response work at the earthquake site.

  The Xinjiang Fire Rescue Corps launched the earthquake emergency rescue plan, and dispatched the fire rescue force of Tian County to the epicenter. The Hotan Fire Rescue Detachment, Aksu Fire Rescue Detachment, and Kashi Fire Rescue Detachment were ready for emergency.

  The Hetian District Fire Rescue Detachment immediately launched an earthquake emergency rescue plan, and went deep to the first team in Pisigai Village, Yutian County, which was the closest to the epicenter (88 kilometers from the epicenter), to carry out on-site verification. After verification, a wooden shed circle collapsed at the scene, and the house had slight cracks. As of now, the fire rescue team has not received reports of casualties.
