The World Health Organization (WHO) is concerned about a rebound in the Covid-19 epidemic, especially in Europe. "Last week, Europe saw an increase in the number of weekly cases for the first time in months," warned an official of the international body on Thursday 25 June. Every day, nearly 20,000 new cases and more than 700 new deaths are recorded on the continent.

Thanks to the deconfinement, the citizens released the pressure and their vigilance. But for several days, after an epidemic upsurge in Beijing, several new outbreaks have declared themselves in Portugal, Italy, Spain, but also in Germany, leading the authorities to reconfigure the population locally.

"Ready for a second wave?", Ask the cartoonists of Cartooning for Peace. For the Canadian Philippe Côté, this new wave could surprise more than one ...

Born in Quebec in 1955, Côté, screenwriter and designer, became known through comics. Long illustrator for the humor magazine Safarir and the daily newspaper of the City of Quebec, Le Soleil, where he officiates since 1997 as editorial caricaturist, he often saw his drawings reproduced in Courrier International and Le Monde.

Cartooning for Peace is an international network of cartoonists committed to promoting, through the universality of press cartoons, freedom of expression, human rights and mutual respect between populations of different cultures or beliefs.
