Among the favorite places for that first getaway, Andalusia stands out, and Almería are the provinces that succeed in sales, as they are two beach regions with an important hotel offer and a great variety of natural enclaves. The average cost per package is 172 euros . Specifically, bookings for the Andalusian community account for 25% of the total, according to data analyzed by Weekendesk, the leading travel portal for short stays and thematic weekends in Spain.

Catalonia is another of the communities that concentrate a large percentage of reserves (24%), with an average expenditure of 188 euros. The Costa Brava has become the main attraction for this post-confinement weekend , especially Gerona, which leads the reserves in the region.
The Valencian Community sneaks into this ranking with 16% of reservations, especially in Alicante, where many Spaniards have decided to open their first summer vacation. In this case, the average cost per plan these days is 222 euros.
The choice of hotels
As for what the Spanish are looking for in this getaway, they figure first of all to change their surroundings and enjoy the summer from the beginning, the objective is to disconnect and relax. Getaways that include dining experiences lead preferences with 50% of sales. The interest in traditional and indigenous dishes is a hook for many Spaniards who want to complete their plan by doing something typical of the area they visit.
