Three people were indicted for murder in an organized gang Wednesday in Marseille, as part of the investigation into the assassination of Antoine Francisci in Haute-Corse in May 2019, in Pietralba, we learned from of the Procurator of the Republic of Marseille.

These three people were placed in pre-trial detention, said Dominique Laurens, the Marseille prosecutor, without giving their identities.

Seven people arrested

In this same file, two other people were indicted for association of criminals for the crime of murder in an organized gang, we learned from the same source. They were placed under judicial supervision.

In total, seven people, including an alleged member of organized crime in Corsica, were arrested last week as part of this investigation, we learned Monday from concordant sources.

Five of them, including this figure of Corsican delinquency, had been presented Tuesday to the Marseilles judge responsible for examining the case. This man, already convicted in 2015 for money laundering and extortion, is from the family of a man killed in August 2012 and presented as a founding sponsor of the Sea Breeze, a famous island criminal gang.

On May 13, 2019, Antoine Francisci, 22, was killed on board his buggy, killed by firearm, on a departmental road in the town of Pietralba. The young man was known only for traffic offenses.
