A few hours after the broadcast of a new video by the L214 association, the Minister of Agriculture reacted. In a press release, Didier Guillaume "asked the prefect of Aveyron the immediate suspension of the approval of the sheep chain" of the Arcadie Sud-Ouest slaughterhouse, near Rodez.

The association for the protection of animals has shown the treatment reserved in this company for lambs from the Roquefort sector, badly or not dizzy, sometimes slaughtered alive. For the Minister, these are "unacceptable practices, with serious breaches of animal protection rules". "A full inspection is scheduled today by the state services," said Didier Guillaume.

In April 2016, the veterinary services of Aveyron had already made a very critical report on this slaughterhouse, as reported by L214. Contacted on Tuesday afternoon by 20 Minutes , Arcadie Sud-Ouest still did not respond Wednesday late in the morning.
