The artistic vigil of the Théâtre de la Ville-Paris

First curtain raisers for theaters in France after more than three months of closure due to the health crisis. To find its audience, the Théâtre de la Ville in Paris has imagined a rather unprecedented introduction: a Vigil in the form of 48 hours of shows, dances, readings and poetic and musical consultations.

Seventy artists, caregivers and scientists give new life to Espace Cardin and the garden of the Théâtre de la Ville. Western specialist of the Indian flute, Henri Tournier: "  It is an adventure that goes up at short notice : shows, concerts, Indian music at five in the morning, recitation of poems with a group of actors from all countries, sometimes with masks, sometimes without masks. It's completely improvised, impromptu, because it was decided in a few days. For me, it's a breath of fresh air, because, as a musician and teacher, I have been doing all my courses online for almost four months. And there we live again.  " 

Meet at midnight for a  saxophone travel , at one o'clock in the morning, there will be a tête-à-tête with  Ionesco Suite , followed by a vibrant evocation of the activist for civil rights Nina Simone, and a  Sensory stroll at sunrise  with a dozen dancers around Saïd Lehlou:

“  It's really an invitation to start all together. After, it's pretty tricky, at five in the morning, but, to wake up with a new day, after all that has just happened ... Finally, art is everywhere : in a theater or in the street , and you have to make it exist daily.  " 

Moments of grace and reflection, to poetic consultations, invented by the director of the Théâtre de la Ville, Emmanuel Demarcy-Mota: “  Finally, what brings the doctor closer to the artist is what is not a profession like the others, it is a profession for the others.  "
