Her sudden death left a state of sadness and shock among her friends who were keen to write the words of obituaries through their accounts on social networking sites. The well-known sports historian Adel Saad wrote through his Twitter account saying: "We belong to God and to Him we shall return, in the doctrine of the second channel, our associate director Najla Mahmoud Yassin after Infection with the new virus Corona, may God have mercy on her, and may God make her dwell in peace, and may her family be patient and patient.
And Ahmed Al-Shami called her, saying: "The death of director Najla Mahmoud Yassin in the second channel in Maspero due to infection with the Corona virus, O God, forgive her, have mercy on her, and make her place a paradise."
"Our Lord, have mercy on her, and forgive her dear colleague, director Najla Mahmoud Yassin," added editor Islam Hafez, on Channel Two in Maspiro.
Atef Ramadan, a former general manager for the Radio and Television Union, wrote, "The death of the director of Channel Two, Naglaa Mahmoud Yassin, due to her infection with the Corona virus."
