Insufficient exercise is not the real cause of sudden death

Since the tragedy of sudden death in amateur football games mostly occurs after sports enthusiasts have been at home for a long time and relaunched fitness exercises, there are many voices inferring that sudden death may be related to long time at home and insufficient exercise.

What is the real cause of sudden exercise death? According to Li Kang, sudden death is divided into two categories clinically, namely sudden cardiac death and non-cardiac sudden death. Zhang Jianmei told the Beijing News that 60% to 85% of sudden deaths during exercise are caused by heart problems. Zhang Jianmei said that the absence of congenital and inherited heart diseases does not mean that there is no acquired coronary heart disease, and the latter is easily overlooked because it is difficult to detect.
"Some people with sudden death do not have a history of heart disease, but because of bad lifestyle or overwork, plaque rupture after strenuous exercise, and eventually sudden death caused by myocardial infarction." Healthy life regular heart check

Experts call on the majority of sports enthusiasts to check the state of the heart through medical measures such as cardiac color Doppler ultrasound and electrocardiogram before combining the family medical history and their own medical history with the aid of the epidemic situation and recovering from exercise. In terms of sports arrangements, Zhang Jianmei recommends that ordinary people exercise 3 to 5 days a week. Sports venues should popularize AED
From many cases of sudden death, it is not difficult to find that the few who received the cardiopulmonary resuscitation treatment of the professional medical staff present were the first ones. More often, ordinary people rescued with limited medical knowledge, or there was nothing to do. At present, the doctors stationed in the stadium are still only in the professional arena. It is difficult to find full-time medical personnel with CPR skills in amateur sports and fitness facilities. In view of this situation, the two experts called for the future popularization of automatic external defibrillators (AED) in sports and fitness facilities, and the promotion of the use of AED technology.
AED is an instrument that can provide high-energy current shock defibrillation, help patients with cardiac arrest recover heart rhythm, and fight for rescue time. Zhang Jianmei said that if the device is used within 4 minutes of a sudden cardiac arrest, the survival rate can reach 50%. At present, AED has been popularized in many developed countries, and the international standard is to set one every 400 meters in public places. However, according to Zhang Jianmei, subject to funds, ideas and other factors, the popularity of the equipment in domestic sports venues is not high.
At present, large stadiums such as Dongdan Sports Center, Guang'an Gymnasium and Yuetan Gymnasium have been equipped with AED equipment, but in the amateur football stadiums where sudden deaths occur most, the popularity of AED is still very low. A number of amateur golf course staff told the Beijing News reporter that they were not equipped with AED equipment. "Almost haven't heard of any amateur golf course installed this." Mr. Liu said.
According to the Beijing News reporter, even in the field of professional sports, the popularity of AED is uneven. Taking the Chinese Super League as an example, the Chinese Football Association requires clubs to popularize AED in their teams and organize team doctors to learn how to use AED. Some clubs have spread from the first team to the youth echelon, but some clubs have only the first team equipped with AED equipment.
