The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, that the experimental vaccine against the emerging corona virus was injected to 18 volunteers in a Moscow hospital. The Russian defense said, according to the Russian "TASS" agency, and "Russia Today" that the first 18 volunteers were injected with the experimental vaccine against Covid-19, and that the volunteers are being monitored in the "Boardenko" military hospital in Moscow.
In cooperation with the "Jamali" Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, the Russian Ministry of Defense began clinical tests for the Russian compound vaccine for the prevention of Covid-19. On June 16, Russian Health announced that clinical tests would be allowed to start at the "Boardenko" hospital.
The Ministry of Defense added: “According to the results of the final examination, for the volunteers who were in isolation for two weeks, the first group of 18 participants in the experiment was selected, who were vaccinated with the vaccine on June 18. One of the components of the vaccine was vaccinated for nine volunteers and the second for the rest.”
It was confirmed that the vaccine was used under the supervision of the most experienced specialist at the "Boardenko" hospital. "The vaccination was carried out in full accordance with the plan of action without accidents or complications and we are awaiting the results," the message added.
