Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) announced the reopening of Dubai public libraries with the exception of the Al Ras branch from 10 am to 5 pm throughout the week except for Friday, with full commitment to apply all preventive and precautionary measures that ensure the protection of visitors and workers in the branch libraries Dubai public, including the provision of sterilization requirements, and the application of rules for social separation by maintaining a distance of two meters between each visitor.
The reopening of Dubai public libraries comes in light of the decision of the Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai to reactivate many cultural and economic activities in the emirate.
The "Dubai Culture" initiative to immediately start implementing the decision to open public libraries in Dubai reflects its commitment to support the national reading strategy launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and based on the importance that the authority attaches to libraries as destinations Cognitive, educational and entertaining, in an effort to enhance the relationship of members of society with those libraries.
The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority called on the public to visit public libraries across the emirate, and to benefit from distinguished services, especially with the approaching end of the school year, giving school students the opportunity to enjoy reading practice in the encouraging atmosphere provided by public libraries.
