ABC network said yesterday that the Emmy TV Awards, one of the biggest events in the entertainment industry, will be held on September 20, as scheduled, and will be presented by broadcaster Jimmy Kimmel.

The network, which is part of The Walt Disney Company, did not provide details of how the ceremony, which presents the highest prizes for television work, was being held at a time when the Corona virus pandemic had canceled a number of live broadcasts.

"I don't know where we will do it, or how we will do it, or even why we do it, but we will hold it (the ceremony), and I will present it," Kimmel said in a statement.

The concert is usually broadcast live in Los Angeles in front of a crowd of the brightest stars, and is preceded by ceremonies on the red carpet. It was not clear if the event would take place this year due to restrictions on large gatherings and the need to adhere to social separation. According to Variety magazine, a statement, the day before yesterday, said that details of how it will produce the show will be announced soon.

Study scenarios include setting up a fully virtual event, or displaying a mix of pre-recorded shots, with some stars appearing on the Internet.

The concert is one of the biggest events in the entertainment industry.

The scenarios involved include fully organizing it virtually.
