Overtime worked in March and April by hospital staff and other public structures (nursing homes, disabled people, childcare) will be increased by 50% and must be paid by September 1.

Announced in mid-April by the government, this increase in overtime worked during the coronavirus epidemic was clarified by a decree published this Sunday in the Official Journal.

150% bonus for night hours

From March 1 to April 30, the first 14 hours are thus increased by 87.5% (against 25% in normal times) and the following hours by 90.5% (against 27%). These increases are cumulative with a 150% bonus for night hours (against 100% usually) and another 99% for Sundays and holidays (against 66%).

This concerns the permanent and contractual staff of the hospital public service, whether they work in hospitals, establishments for the elderly or disabled, those working for child welfare, as well as reception centers for families in difficulty and applicants asylum. The same rules apply to army training hospitals and the National Institution for the Disabled.

A 50% revaluation on the guards

For all these agents, overtime must be "compensated in the form of only compensation", that is to say paid, and this "at the latest on September 1".

In addition, doctors, dentists and pharmacists working in public hospitals (interns, foreign students and practitioners included) benefit from a 50% revaluation on call duty performed during the same period, also payable by September 1.
