The 163rd Akutagawa Prize Naoki Prize Candidate work will be decided on June 16 at 5:05

Candidates for the 163rd Akutagawa and Naoki Awards have been announced. Five people were selected for each, and four people were the candidates for the Akutagawa Prize for the first time, and Shusei Kaboshi was the seventh candidate for the Naoki Prize.

Akutagawa Prize

The candidates for the Akutagawa Prize were chosen by
▽Ken Ishihara's "Kicking the red sand",
▽Ms. Okamoto's "Our Age",
▽Haneko Takayama's "Shuri no Ma" ,
▽ Haruka Tono's "disruption",
▽ Miki Miki's "Aki-chan".

Takayama was the third candidate and the other four were selected for the first time this time.

Naoki Prize

The candidate works for the Naoki Prize are:
▽Yuki Ibuki's "Spin the Clouds",
▽Shogo Imamura's "Jinkan",
▽Hitoko Sawada's "Noh Monogatari Kindergarten Sakura",
▽Junko Toda's "Ginka no Kura"
, ▽ Five works of Shu Shuden's "Boys and Dogs" were selected.

Mr. Kan, who became the first candidate for the Naoki Prize in his 1996 debut work "Fujojo", was subsequently selected as a candidate for "Yokomushi" and "Untouchable," and this is the seventh time.

Mr. Sawada was the fourth candidate, Mr. Ibuki was the third, Mr. Imamura was the second, and Mr. Toda was the first candidate this time.

The selection process for the Akutagawa and Naoki awards will be held on the 15th of next month.
