Maxime Switek, well known to viewers of "C à vous" where he officiates as a columnist, joined BFMTV in September 2020 - Patrick FOUQUE / FTV

BFMTV announced Monday that it has recruited former Europe 1 journalist Maxime Switek to present its segment of information from 10 p.m. to midnight from the start of the 2020 academic year. Maxime Switek will arrive on BFMTV on August 24, in place of Bruce Toussaint , which has been broadcasting Tonight Bruce Info for two years , and who will now be head of Live BFM from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., specifies the Altice group's news channel.

Well known to listeners in Europe 1 and spectators in France 5

The newcomer to BFMTV is well known to the listeners of Europe 1, the Lagardère group's radio station, where he entered in 2005 and made his debut in the morning newspapers, then in Europe 1 Weekend and Europe Midi . His name had circulated two years ago to succeed Patrick Cohen at the head of the morning radio station, but Nikos Aliagas had been preferred to him, and he had left Europe 1 in July 2018.

A pleasure to work with @MaximeSwitek. @ cavousf5 owes you a lot and will always remain your home. The best for you. While waiting to celebrate your departure with dignity. (5/5 special to come!) Kisses https://t.co/8Z91jNl2SC
