Shemar Moore actor - Steven Bergman / AFF / VISUAL Press Agency

Like America, Shemar Moore was shocked by the death of George Floyd during an arrest. And the actor would be hard pressed to resume his role as police officer in the SWAT series  as if nothing had happened. "With my influence, I have to go back to work and wear a police uniform, and that questions me," he explained in a message posted on Instagram in which he also discusses his mixed race.

"It troubles me because I can't just go back there and pretend nothing's wrong." I have to come back and tell the real story. Because George Floyd is real, and so many others before him ... I'm going to use SWAT to carry a message. I'm going to tell Sony and CBS and my bosses that if we don't tackle this issue, they can do without me, "he continued.

Stay optimistic

For the star, it is important not to be tempted by the shortcuts.

“These cops need to be punished. Some of them are bastards, but many are good. Some of us blacks are good people, and others are bastards. But everyone's blood is red when it flows… I understand how serious it is, but we must remain optimistic. We have to keep hoping, because we're going to fix this… I can't do it alone but we can do it collectively, together, ”said Shemar Moore.
