The weather on Saturday will remain unstable and rainy in most regions and particularly in the South-East, but only two departments of the central massif remain vigilant orange, for a risk of floods. Météo-France maintains its warning for two departments, Haute-Loire and Puy-de-Dôme, due to a "significant flood risk from Allier Brivadois". The orange vigilance measures, for rain-flood, thunderstorms or floods, concerned 16 departments since Friday 4:00 p.m.

Over the South East, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Franche-Comté, Lorraine and Alsace, a few locally stormy showers circulated in the morning, and already some more sustained thunderstorms over Provence. In the afternoon, thunderstorm precipitation will intensify on the eastern side of the country, from the Mediterranean to the German border. Over Corsica, the Var and the Maritime Alps, thunderstorm rains will persist until evening and will be locally strong with hail and strong gusts of wind.

The weather will also be humid from Normandy and Brittany, the Pays-de-la-Loire, Poitou-Charentes, northern Aquitaine and the Pyrenees, with frequent showers, sometimes accompanied by thunderclaps. Elsewhere, the showers will be rarer and isolated under a variable sky. Temperatures recorded at 7:00 a.m. ranged from 11 degrees in Brest to 19 in Marseille. The highest will go up from 21 to 25 degrees over the eastern half of the country, for only 17 to 20 over the northwest, and 19 to 22 degrees over the southwest.
