Hard hit by the coronavirus crisis, the entrepreneurs of the performing arts are demanding "a total deconfinement and without distancing for a real recovery" in their sector, in a press release addressed to Emmanuel Macron before his intervention on Sunday.
"We must deconfigure the live performance," demands the Prodiss, the first employers' organization of musical entertainment in the private sector, in this press release, also signed by other organizations representing, in particular, halls, festivals, private theaters, cabarets, the Camulc Sndtp.
These organizations also question “the measures taken by the Ministry of Culture” in the face of the health crisis which is paralyzing their sector of activity. "To endow the National Music Center with an amount of 50 million euros, faced with more than 2 billion euros of losses suffered by the sector, it is an emergency measure, barely saved, but in no case of recovery, ”they criticize.
