In Crimea in Simferopol, Russian intelligence services prevented a major terrorist attack - five people were detained who were preparing an explosion in one of the city’s markets. At the moment, not much is known about them. The FSB reported that those arrested were associated with radicals fighting in the Donbass. That's all for now. The formulations are cautious and rather vague, but certain assumptions about the tasks that the terrorists had can be made now.

To begin with, the FSB would hardly have called the “DPR or LPR People’s Militia” “radicals fighting in the Donbass”. At the moment, there are simply no armed formations not controlled by the governments of the republics of Lugansk and Donetsk. That is, we are obviously talking about the other side of the conflict. Our intelligence services officially consider, for example, fighters of the "Right Sector" * (organization banned in the Russian Federation) and other neo-Nazi groups to be radicals. Such as “Aydar” or “Azov” (it is subordinate to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov).

Consequently, the people detained in the Crimea by the FSB and preparing an explosion in one of the markets in Simferopol were most likely associated with precisely these radical elements. The question is whether these very elements act independently. I doubt it very much. Such initiatives are hardly possible without professional supervision - and there is no doubt that it was just that. From the FSB’s dry reports it also follows that the detainees had Russian passports. This means that we are talking about professional recruitment, and not about Cossacks sent across the border. This also happened, but not this time.

We follow the logical chain further. Recruiting five citizens of the Russian Federation to organize an explosion is a special operation in fact. In Ukraine, only two special services are able to plan such, in fact, the SBU, in the main building of which, by the way, the entire floor is at the disposal of American “advisers” (a fact that has long been known and practically public), and the second structure is the Main Intelligence Directorate The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, by the way, has repeatedly tried to arrange sabotage in the Crimea. Both those and others actively use for their own purposes precisely the notorious radical nationalists. Everyone has been well aware of this for quite some time, both in Ukraine itself and beyond.

So, we have the right to assume that the failed explosion in Simferopol was an operation of the Ukrainian special services, probably seasoned with American councils.

Further, I consider it necessary to reflect: what was the purpose of this attack and why was it being prepared right now?

Here, in my opinion, it is logical to get involved in the context of everything that happens in the world in recent months.

The pandemic somehow increased social tension in society, and Russia, unfortunately, is no exception.

It is clear that we generally cope well with this stress (for comparison, just look at the events in the USA), but this does not mean that it cannot be tried to be used for our own purposes. In the presence of a stress factor, our country is also approaching a really serious historical moment. Even with a very different attitude, one cannot deny its scale. Of course, I mean the vote for amendments to the Constitution, which as a whole is already on the nose.

In this sense, Crimea for this kind of sabotage, of course, was not chosen by chance. The return of the peninsula to Russia is one of the main achievements of the current government. To discredit him with a terrorist attack, which in the conditions of tough information wars can be hanged absolutely on anyone, is a serious blow to his reputation. Hence the place for the explosion, which was also chosen for a reason. If you have been to the Crimean markets, it will not be a discovery for you that mainly Crimean Tatars work there. For six years now, Kiev has been trying to prove to the whole world that Russia allegedly infringes on their rights - well, you have heard this song one hundred percent. And then imagine: they are also being blown up, say, by some conditional Russian right.

With an effective informational approach and well-thought-out throws (and let's not be cunning, Kiev teachers, Americans, in this sense have succeeded more than many), it is not so difficult to organize pseudo-ethnic unrest on ethnic grounds, the main purpose of which will push Crimean Tatars and Russians together. I have already seen this in 2014. I do not want to escalate, but this scenario does not remind you of anything?

Of course, a situation similar to today's American in the Crimea is impossible. It’s just that the organizers of the attack do not take into account the Russian mentality: tragedies do not separate us, but exactly the opposite. But in any case, an explosion in the Crimea would be a difficult test for everyone. Without exception. And for ordinary people. And for the authorities. And for security officials. It is good that the latter worked ahead of schedule. But you should not relax. Knowing our enemies, they are unlikely to be limited to just one homework.
