The Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Noura Bint Muhammad Al-Kaabi, discussed with the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Nadim Makarim, strengthening the bilateral cultural partnership, especially in the fields of arts and crafts.

In a remote meeting with the Indonesian Minister, Al-Kaabi was briefed on the precautionary measures taken by the UAE to confront "Covid-19", and the efforts of the cultural and creative sector in providing initiatives and incentives that contribute to the sustainability of the creative community's giving. She explained the objectives of the national program to support creators, which was launched by the Ministry.

The two ministers discussed expanding the frameworks of cultural partnership between the two countries in the field of creative industries and handicrafts, and transferring them to new levels of creativity, by creating pieces inspired by the Emirati and Indonesian heritage, to be reflected on the foundations of cooperation between the creative institutions in the two countries.

Al-Kaabi also shed light on the UAE projects in the Iraqi city of Mosul, namely, the restoration of the Nuri Mosque, its minaret Al-Hadba, the Clock and Immaculate Churches project, aimed at reviving the city and preserving the human heritage.
